Preserve Our Community’s Future

Join us in advocating against the proposed daycare facility at 150 North Road and protect our community’s character.

What is Happening?

The Tennessee-based, for-profit company, The Gardner School, has proposed combining three lots zoned for residential use only, totaling 3.52 acres, the demolition of an almost 200 year old single family home, and the construction of a 16,200 square-foot daycare facility with a 5700 square-foot artificial surface playground, a 57 space parking lot, additional paved areas for trash and snow storage, as well as long paved drive and walkways running parallel to North Road.

The Gardner School bullied their way through the application process, using the Dover Amendment and the threat of legal action to overcome vocal opposition by the Chelmsford Planning Board, and refusing to make legally applicable concessions to the building size and proposed occupancy.

We have hundreds of signatures, we need thousands!

Show them we won’t be bullied. Show The Gardner School that the town does not want and will not use their facility in the proposed location!

Please donate to help cover the cost of appealing the Chelmsford Planning Board approval

North Road Traffic

North Road is already overwhelmed by the current volume of traffic, often backing up between Chelmsford Center and Drum Hill, and making it dangerous for our children to cross the street.
Adding this facility will greatly increase the number of cars during rush hours, as parents drop off and then pick up their children from the proposed facility.
